Behavior Policy
Our Commitment to a Safe & Respectful Learning Environment
At Air of Imagination (AOI), we believe that character and creativity go hand in hand. That’s why we cultivate a culture rooted in kindness, responsibility, and mutual respect. Our behavior policy is designed to support student growth, ensure a peaceful learning environment, and reflect our Christ-centered values.
Classroom Expectations
Our students are expected to:
- •Be kind to themselves and others
- •Use respectful language and tone
- •Keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves
- •Follow teacher instructions the first time
- •Be responsible for their actions and materials
- •Help create a positive learning atmosphere
Behavior Corrections
When misbehavior occurs, our staff addresses it with grace, consistency, and clarity. Depending on the age and situation, this may include:
- •Gentle redirection
- •Cool-down time
- •Verbal reminders or warnings
- •Parent communication
- •Behavior reflection forms
- •Temporary loss of privileges
Positive Reinforcement
We believe in celebrating good behavior!
AOI uses a variety of age-appropriate strategies to encourage and reinforce positive choices, such as:
- •Praise and encouragement
- •Stickers and small rewards
- •Certificates and shout-outs
- •Leadership opportunities
- •Recognition in class or school-wide
Parent Partnership
We value strong communication and transparency. If ongoing behavior concerns arise, AOI will:
- •Notify parents via BrightWeb or a direct note
- •Work together to create a behavior support plan
- •Offer guidance for reinforcement at home
Together, we can guide each child toward accountability and self-control, while celebrating growth every step of the way.
