Air of Imagination

To ensure the safety and smooth operation of student drop-off and pick-up, please follow the procedures outlined below:

Emergency School Closing Procedures:

In the event of an emergency, AOI follows the emergency closing procedures of the Broward County School system.

For questions during school hours, please contact the school office at (786)631-2226.

After hours, for emergency information, contact the Broward County Public School information line at (786) 631-2226.

Rainy Day Dismissal Procedures:

If severe rain or lightning occurs during dismissal, rainy day procedures will be implemented.

Walkers, sibling care, and aftercare students will be held in their classrooms until they are picked up by their parent/guardian, or until weather conditions allow the cancellation of rainy-day procedures.

Drop-Off

Students should be dropped off between 8:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m.

Parents must follow the designated drop-off routes for safety. Staff will be present to assist students as needed.

Regular Pick-Up

Students must be picked up by their dismissal time unless they are enrolled in after-school programs.

Parents must follow the designated pick-up routes for safety. Staff will be available to assist students as needed.

After-School Program Pick-Up:

Students participating in after-school programs will be released from 6:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Parents must follow the designated pick-up routes for safety. Staff will be available to assist students as needed.

Pick-Up Procedure:

Authorized Individuals: Ensure that all individuals authorized to pick up your child are listed on the emergency contact form.

Identification Cards: Each authorized individual will receive a unique pick-up card with the child’s name, a unique ID number, and the school logo.

*Note: Parents should distribute these cards to authorized pick-up persons.

Card Scanning System: Upon arrival at the designated pick-up area, parents or authorized individuals must present their pick-up card through the window. Staff will scan the card while vehicles are in motion to avoid disrupting traffic flow. After successful scanning, staff will call for the child to come to the vehicle.

Backup Verification: If there is a malfunction with the scanning system, staff will verify individuals against the emergency contact list and request valid identification.

Early Pick-Up Procedure:

If you need to pick up your child before their scheduled dismissal time, please report to the front office to sign them out.

Important: No changes to your child’s dismissal plan can be made within 30 minutes of their scheduled dismissal time unless it is an emergency.

Only individuals listed on the emergency contact form will be permitted to pick up a child from school, and photo identification is required.
